I wanted to post a sample of my latest work.
The box call is crafted out of Eastern Red Cedar with Maple
inlays. This call has a great medium raspy pitch and
purrs better than call I have crafted so far. The deer
grunt call is a new endeavor for me. This call is turned
from Oregon Myrtle wood. Contact information by email.

Hi Ken,
I you remember back 3 years you where here at my house to get a
squirrel dog bred but it didn't work out. Anyway you gave me one
of your Realtree covered glass calls. I just wanted to show you
a couple pictures of my 2004 bird I killed yesterday here in
Indiana using your call. In fact this is the 3rd turkey killed
in the 3 years I have had the call. All three of the birds where
killed on opening day of the last three years with a bow. A guy
sure doesn't get to hunt very long using one of your calls. LOL
Thanks for a great call.

This call is a little different design than I
have done in the past. It is hand hewn from a solid block of
Butternut with a a Padouk paddle and base. This call has a lot
of volume on yelps. It makes great clucks and purrs and cuts
better than anything I had crafted so far. Thanks Ken and
Martha for allowing folks to show off their calls on your site. |

Hi
Ken! On March 22nd I took second place at the
NWTF calling contest in Albany, NY using a
Zebrawood box and a Padouk pot slate made out of
the wood I purchased from you. Two weeks
later I took the same calls on a hunting trip to
Iowa and called in a 3 Toms and 4 Hens and had a
seven hour duel with the one I ended up
harvesting. At daylight I had seven Toms gobbling
at me three flew down and came my way accompanied
with Hens, kept calling back and forth from box
to slate every sound I made they gobbled! We went
from fierce gobbling to fighting amongst
themselves...What a show!! Finally the dominant
Tom about seven hours later came my way with 2
Hens. I shot him at 15 yards in full strut. Those
calls delivered every sound it took to drive
those birds CRAZY!! |

Hi Ken,
If you don't remember me I was the guy that you
came up to in Holton Indiana that we tried to get
your mountain cur female bred to my brindle male(
RUFF). Well I just wanted to tell you about
that glass call you gave me while you where up
here. As you know our season came in
Wednesday. I got set up Wednesday morning
and started using that call. By 5:50 AM I
had 3 big toms dancing in front of my
decoy. This gobbler gave me a 10 yard
shot. I put a three blade muzzy through his
wing butts and he expired 20 yards out. He
weighed 25 1/2 lbs, 10 inch beard, and had 24 mm
spurs. I sure like this call and will
recommend it to everyone. I hope your
season is going well also.

Please find attached a picture
of my first turkey from a call I had a hand
in making. Not only is it that, it is also the
fattest tom I've ever taken. 23 lb. 03 oz.,
9 ¼" beard, 15/16" l. spur,
1.000: r. spur. Using the call I built from the
Padauk wood at the convention, he and another
came in on a string. Gobbling and strutting all
the way. I inlayed a scrimshawed wild turkey on a
piece of ivory into the call and finished it with
a hand rubbed tongue oil finish. They really
liked the sound and counting the two that came in
today, I had one other come in last weekend but I
missed him at 9 yards. |
